Ein Unternehmen zu gründen ist wahrlich kein Ponyhof. Das Leben eines Entrepreneurs oder Selbstständigen fühlt sich manchmal an wie eine wilde Achterbahnfahrt der Emotionen. Auf Tiefschläge folgen kleine Erfolge – gefolgt von langen Durststrecken.
Auch in unseren Projekten geht es immer auf und ab. Wenn wir uns gerade mal wieder durch ein Tal durchkämpfen müssen, dann denken wir gerne an die Großen unserer Zunft. An die, die schon durch mehr Täler gegangen sind als wir 5 zusammen.
Diese Zitate haben wir über einen längeren Zeitraum zusammengetragen. Sie motivieren uns und geben uns Kraft, wenn wir den Kopf hängen lassen wollen:

Horseman Ray Hunt sagte einmal: „It will probably take more than once but less than a million times“. Auch außerhalb der Pferdewelt find ich das ein extrem ermutigendes Zitat, das mir in frustreichen Zeiten hilft.

leider weiß ich nicht mehr von wem es ist und in welchem Zusammenhang es gesagt wurde. Aber es passt finde ich sehr gut und ich rufe es mir zwischendurch immer mal wieder ins Gedächtnis.

Immer häufiger werden diese Zitate und/oder Aphorismen für junge Entrepeneure als Wegweiser benannt. Ist es nicht wichtiger, dass jeder für sich erst einmal klar definiert was Erfolg bedeutet? Viele gehen den Weg zum monetär messbaren Erfolg und vergessen dabei gerne die menschliche Wertschätzung. Ich kann hier nur wärmstens den Upstalsboom-Weg empfehlen. Der CEO Bodo Janssen hat erst nach vielen Jahren seinen ganz persönlichen Erfolg klar definieren können und mußte dadurch einen Paradigmenwechsel vornehmen. Was bleibt? Wertschöpfung durch Wertschätzung. Das nenne ich Erfolg!

klar ist es wichtig, dass jeder für sich definiert, was für ihn Erfolg bedeutet. Bei den Zitaten geht es auch nicht darum mir von jemand anderem zeigen zu lassen was „Erfolg“ ist – die Zitate sind vielmehr dafür gedacht um in schwierigen Zeiten eine kleine Aufmunterung zu bekommen. ;) Also ein kleiner Motivationsschub und Inspiration.

Keine Ahnung ob das folgende Zitat wirklich zu Deiner Aufstellung passt, aber ich mag es sehr gerne, da es mich tatsächlich „aufmuntert“.

Mein liebstes Zitat von Henry Ford: „Egal ob du daran glaubst dass du Erfolg hast oder nicht- du hast in beiden Fällen recht“. Oder (da weiss ich nicht von wem): „Wer nicht an Wunder glaubt, ist im Grunde kein Realist“.
Ich bin kein Neugründer, als ich so Jung war, wie die meisten heutige Entrepreneure, gab’s wenige gleichgesinnten. Ich habe aber immer mein Ding gemacht (wie Ben so schön sagt). Zwar mit vielen Abstürzen, aber ich bereue heute nichts und habe dadurch viel mehr gelernt als in der Schule.
Mein Lieblingsspruch war und ist dieser von Steve Jobs:
„The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.“
